    I am writing to provide feedback as requested for recent service on one of my Chevrolet vehicles. I own both a 2019 Silverado LTZ (purchased in 2024 from Pohanka Chevrolet Chantilly, VA) and a 2017 Suburban Premier (purchased in 2023 from Starling Chevrolet Mount Pleasant, SC). My Suburban has about 95,000 miles and had been running smoothly since I purchased it; however, on 18 July 2025, it suddenly had very serious engine issues. It ran very rough, seemed to not be providing normal power, and had a check engine light. I brought it to my local automotive shop which diagnosed fuel injector issues that they advised would be covered by a special coverage provided by General Motors. They provided me their diagnostic paperwork and N182198000 Special Coverage documentation to bring to Michelle Radley Chevrolet on 22 July. I was able to bring my Suburban to your service department for scheduled repair. Chris Gearity was considerate and efficient in the intake; however, told me that the special coverage would not apply since my vehicle was registered in South Carolina and not one of the 13 states noted in the coverage documentation. I needed the vehicle repaired so I agreed to continue with repairs, which were completed quickly, and told him I would attempt to get coverage clarification from the GM/Chevrolet warranty department and reimbursement for the repair costs which came close to $3,900.00. The case number I was given by the warranty department is #72204934. The special coverage documentation did not provide any rational on how/why coverage applies only to the 13 states noted. The Carfax documentation when I purchased the vehicle shows that the original owner purchased and registered the vehicle in New Jersey (one of the 13 covered states) in 2017 and was still registered in New Jersey when the special coverage was disseminated in 2019. On myChevrolet account, N1821988 is listed as one of two warranties that should apply to my vehicle. The individuals I talked to at the warranty department could not give me a reasonable rationale on why my Suburban should not be covered for the coverage noted for known fuel injector issues. Bottom line, the Michelle Radley Chevrolet service department quickly repaired my vehicle, so it was safely back on the road. I’m satisfied with their quick turnaround; however, I am not satisfied with how GM/Chevrolet is not standing behind coverage that should apply to the vehicle. I ask that GM/Chevrolet review my situation and provide reimbursement for the repair costs.
